Meet Finn, your financial planning associate.
Finn works through every step of the file with you: it reads the documents, builds and checks the plan, answers your client’s questions live, and drafts the report. Every number comes from one Canadian engine built by a planner. You approve every change.

Finn reads the documents and builds the file. You review.
Accurate to the province
One engine, verified and tested, behind every number you show.
Your Canadian encyclopedia
QPP rules, RRIF factors, probate, OAS clawback: ask and get the rule with the figures.
More plans, more clients
The time you save goes back into meetings and new relationships.
Three ways to work, one engine.
From a ten-minute quick report to a full plan, pick the depth the meeting needs. One subscription instead of a stack of single-purpose tools.
Full financial plans
The traditional plan, done properly: retirement, tax, estate, insurance and corporate, year by year, in a bilingual client report.
For annual reviews and new clientsTools with quick reports
CPP and QPP timing, OAS clawback, TFSA room, portfolio comparison. Run one tool, show it live or email a client-ready report. No full plan needed.
For simple questions and quick meetingsFinn, beside you
Builds, verifies and tests the plan, answers Canadian rule questions on the spot, and drafts the report. Works across both full plans and quick reports.
On every file, every stepThe associate every planner wishes they could hire.
Finn keeps one thread per client: every document, question and decision in one place your team and compliance can review later. It proposes; you decide.
Meet Finn →01Gathers the file
Send the encrypted bilingual questionnaire. Finn reads the statements, T4s, CPP records, policies and T2 returns that come back, and maps every figure to the right field.
02Builds and checks the plan
Finn assembles the plan on the PlanBase engine, validates the inputs and flags gaps before a client ever sees a number. You apply each change.
03Answers live in the meeting
“What if we retire at 62? Defer CPP? Sell the cottage?” Finn answers from the plan with the figures behind it and drafts the scenario in Scenario Lab.
04Recommends across the whole file
Retirement, estate, insurance and corporate: CPP and OAS timing, withdrawal order, probate exposure, salary versus dividends. Each recommendation comes with its numbers.
05Drafts the client report
A short, client-ready report in English or French, from the same projection you planned on. Review, edit, send.
Thirteen jurisdictions. Thirteen sets of rules.
Move the estate value and change the province. Every figure below comes from that jurisdiction’s own fee schedule, not one national formula with a provincial label on it.
The first $50,000 is exempt (since 1 January 2020), then 1.5% on everything above it.
On this estate, the same family pays $0 in Manitoba and $19,647.65 in Nova Scotia.
Most tools apply one formula to all of Canada. We don’t.
Fee schedules as published by each jurisdiction, current for 2026. Figures show the probate fee or estate administration tax itself; court filing fees are noted in the rule where they apply.
One engine. One number. Everywhere.
The screen you plan on, the year-by-year grid you scroll in the meeting, and the PDF your client takes home all read from the same deterministic projection. There is no second calculation to disagree with the first.
AI you can audit
Finn reasons over that plan’s data and nothing else. Every recommendation comes back with the figures behind it, so you can explain the reasoning to a client and defend it to compliance. Nothing changes the plan until you approve it.
- Every figure traces to the projection it came from
- Finn cites the numbers behind each recommendation
- Stored in Canada, and client data never trains AI models
We sweat the details that change your client’s numbers.
A spouse inherits RRSPs and RRIFs tax-deferred. The tax falls at the second death, not the first. Tools that tax registered accounts at the first death can overstate a client’s estate tax by six figures. We model it the way the CRA actually treats it.
Your Québec clients are on the RRQ, not the CPP. Different rules, different numbers. Tools that treat all of Canada as one plan mis-project every Québec retirement they touch.
Questions advisors ask.
Finn is PlanBase's AI financial planning associate. It reads client documents, builds and checks the plan on the PlanBase engine, answers what-if questions from the plan's own figures, and drafts the client report in English or French. Finn works for the advisor, never directly for the client.
